International Seminar on Microcredit

[PKSF has organized an international seminar titled "Attacking Poverty with Microcredit" at PKSF Bhaban, Dhaka.The seminar was held on January 8 & 9 '2003. Begum Khaleda Zia, Honorable Prime Minister to the Government of Bangladesh (3rd from left) inaugurated the seminar.(From L to R) Professor Muhammad Yunus, Managing Director, Grameen Bank, Dr.Wahiduddin Mahmud, Chairman of PKSF, Mr.M. An international seminar titled "Attacking Poverty with Microcredit" was held on 8 & 9 January 2003 at PKSF Bhaban . It was inaugurated by Begum Khaleda Zia, Honorable Prime Minister to the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Participants from 9 countries attended the seminar. Representatives from central banks, commercial banks, specialized banks & institutions, international, multilateral and bilateral organizations, donor agencies, embassies, MFI-NGO partners of PKSF and government agencies participated in the seminar.
