Rushidan, I. 1995 : Impact of Credit for Rural Poor : An Evaluation of
Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation's Credit Program, BIDS, Dhaka.
This Study was conducted by Ms. Rushidan Islam Rahman, a Senior Research
Fellow of BIDS in 1995. In this study it was revealed that PKSF's microcredit
program has an outstanding impact on the rural poor people specially the
rural women.
Alamgir, Dewan Ali Haider, 1994 : Impact of PKSF
Rural Credit Program on the Beneficiaries-Reflection from a study of some
selected organizations.
It is a significant research work carried out in 1994 by Mr. Dewan Ali
Haider Alamgir, the then Assistant General Manager of PKSF, who is now
working in Grameen Shakti as General Manager. In this research work the
overall scenario of microcredit operation in Bangladesh covering, both
prospects and constraints has been highlighted.
With the gradual expansion of the operation of PKSF, the number of PO
is also increasing. These POs follow different accounting policies yielding
complicacies to maintain overall accounting system and its comparative
analysis. To ensure a uniform accounting system for all the POs PKSF introduced
an accounting manual (written in Bengali) and circulated it to the POs.

PKSF has a prescribed loan operation guideline (written in Bengali) where
group formation, credit operation and savings mobilization etc. are vividly
described.

PKSF publishes a quarterly newsletter in every quarter to cover the recent
activities of the Foundation. It usually contains.
News
on field visits of the high officials of PKSF;
Information on recently
held workshop, seminar, training etc;
Profile of newly enlisted
POs and others.

PKSF publishes an
annual report each year. Usually annual report contains financial statements,
message from the Chairman, statements of the Managing Director and some
other operational information. However, some other relevant issues are
addressed in the annual report usually.
