PKSF supports the borrowers affected by any disaster under three components: Disaster Management Fund (DMF), Livelihood Restoration Program (LRP) and Emergency 2007 Flood Restoration and Recovery Assistance Program (EFRRAP). DMF is designed to provide quick financial assistance to poor families to help them cope and recover from disaster; prevent them from selling advance labor (selling advance labor leads the poor
To become indebted to unscrupulous money lenders); prevent them from selling valuable assets as well as enabling them to smooth out consumption. These funds are utilized in times of disaster or afterwards for restoration of livelihood, rehabilitation, urgent medical services, water and sanitation, and to meet emergency consumption needs.
